I began making pudding shots years ago and ever since, if we have a function in which adult beverages will be served, they get requested. Usually a Mardi Gras tradition, I was recently asked to make them for our friends annual Good Friday Crawfish boil. They become more and more popular each time I make them, and lets face it..Jello Shots are so yesterday.
I am going to give you the basic recipe, but really you can make your own flavor combinations. With all the flavored vodkas on the market the possibilities are endless!
PUDDING SHOT BASIC RECIPE
1 small pkg. INSTANT chocolate Pudding
3/4 Cup Cold Milk
1/4 cup Vodka
1/2 cup Irish Cream (Baileys or Kahlua works too)
8 oz of creamy cool Whip
Mix Pudding and Milk for a couple of minutes with an electric mixer, then add the alcohol, mix well. Mix in the Cool Whip.
Put into individual serving cups with Lids. Keep in Freezer.
Okay Now I am going to tell you GEAUX GILLIKINS way of making them
1 LARGE pkg of INSTANT Pudding- whatever flavor
1 Cup Cold Milk
1 Cup Flavored Vodka- Flavor depending on what flavor Pudding I choose.
Keep a Shot glass on hand.
If I have Baileys or Kahlua I cut the vodka to 1/2 cup and add 1/2 of the Baileys or Kahlua You really don't need it though. If you had the ones I made on Good Friday 2013- those did NOT have any time of Irish Cream..Only Vodka
8 oz of Cool Whip- this is a must when making pudding shots. It gives it the consistency you need.
Mix Pudding and Milk for a couple of minutes with an electric mixer, take a shot of Vodka to make sure its not expired..then add it to the mix, and mix well. Take another shot...and then add a little more to the mix.
Mix in the Cool Whip. Take another quick shot of vodka then pour the mix into the cups.
Freeze.
As for the cups..well I never use the ones with lids...I actually use paper "Nut cups" . They are perfect. They look like this:
Some combinations to try are:

Coconut Vodka
Raspberry Vodka
King Cake Vodka
Cherry Vodka
Vanilla Pudding with:
